Having grown up in Alabama, Chris grew up in a culture of community and helping out neighbors. After high school Chris joined the Marine Corps and served from 2002 – 2006 and did 3 deployments to Iraq while he served. After separating from the military, Chris decided to go back overseas where he spent approximately 5 years working as a security contractor for the Department of Defense and US State Department. After suffering a back injury Chris decided to come home where he graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a degree in Global Security and Intelligence Studies.
It was by luck that after he graduated he managed to meet RJ Crosby who is the branch manager of Benchmark Mortgage in Scottsdale and one of the top producing loan originators in the country. RJ offered Chris a job in the mortgage industry, where he has fallen in love with what he does and has become a VA Home Loan specialist. Chris loves the fact that he gets to work with so many veterans on a daily basis while being a resource to veterans and real estate agents that have questions regarding the VA Home Loan benefit.
Chris continues to find ways outside of work to give back to veteran’s charities and loves to participate in as many veteran focused organizations as he can.
